One out of every 6 people in India is undernourished. This figure may initially seem insignificant when we calculate it with present population of 1.34 billion, it means about 200 million people are undernourished. That’s a huge figure, more than the population of France, Germany & UK combined or almost half the population of USA.

Though India produce sufficient food to feeds its population but varied factors are responsible for this situation. 40 percent of vegetables and 30 percent of cereals produced get lost or wasted due to supply chain deficiency.

Many organisations are working hard to bring a change. In collaboration with them, and under guidance of SadgurudevSatyashri, AAS Ashram is playing a pivotal role in motivating its volunteers and general public at large to arrange “Anndanam” (food distribution) activities on a regular basis. Apart from Annadanam at our centres, we also identify areas of concern and arrange food supplies in those areas.

This is such an enormous task that requires will and effort from all sections of the society. Come, Join Hands with us so that no person sleeps hungry. Even a small contribution in this regard may be of huge help for a person in need.
